Staples has Teon DVD+R's and DVD-R's, 20 pack, Sunday only, for
$14.94 - $10.00 MIR for a net cost of $4.94. The only problem is I
can't find any information about who makes the discs or if they're
    reliable.

Has anyone heard of Teon or tried them?

I wish I would had knew this earlier I would have given them a second try beacuse that is really cheap.

  3. The +R RW are coded: PHILIPS-C08-00

I'm guessing that's new because I can't find it in any forum, nor the media data base.....So far 5/5 on the burns (X4) with my pioneer A07....They play in my Sony NS715P...They also play in the finicky Go Video player I had installed in the car.

  4. i got my 2 spindles and my brother got me another 2 spindles. after it's all said and done - 80 blanks for $20

now something even better than the price. i have a sony dru500ax, everyone here knows how finicky they are. i've had to use firmware 1.0f just to get 2x burning with cheap media like khypermedia. i tried the new teon 4x media and couldn't believe my eyes. it was burning at 4x
i got brave and tried the latest firmware update 2.1a and tried another burn. got 4x again :P
btw - the rebate receipt indicates teon may be from khypermedia.

email confirmation suggests teon is from khypermedia
Thank you for your purchase. We look forward to serving you again.
    Sincerely,
    STAPLES
    KHYPERMEDIA
