  1. I rented "the core" with a boulder of scratches! dvd shrink stops analysing the main movie and gives me the "Data error" message ! I have no budget, How do i fix this without a budget?

Hi, you may or may not be talking about WAREZ.

not already done so. They can be viewed by clicking

  2. To answer your question, there is no good way to fix this. To say that you are renting movies to copy is against the rules here BTW. Nyah Levi

why are you using dvdshrink with a rented movie in the first place

  4. Try cleaning the DVD surface with a lint free tissue and liquid cleaner. Then try moving from your ROM driver to your burner to see if it can read the DVD (using DVDShrink). DVDDecryter is also capable of reading DVDs better than shrink. You might be able to read it onto your hard drive and then copy to your burner with this free application.

That form of copy protection has been discussed to death. Do a search ... take disk back and complain.

  8. I'd be curious as to what percentage of visitors to this site have ever backed up a DVD they didn't legally own.

I'll admit I have. I rented a DVD from my local video store a while back which had a 24-hour rental limit. I got called in unexpectidly to work and couldn't watch the whole film. So, I back it up to my hard drive so I could watch the rest when I got home, and returned the original DVD on my way to work. Although I know it's not the same thing, I looked at it as if I were watching a movie on HBO and had to leave mid-way through...and poped in a video cassette to record the rest. I'm not trying to justify my actions, but will admit I've strayed from the legal DVD path on at least one occasion.

  10. I can help you with this problem...

    1) Return DVD to rental shop, demand refund for shitty product.
    2) Take refund money and buy vodka.
    3) Take vodka home.
    4) Drink vodka.
    5) Pass out.
    6) Wake up next morning, wondering where vodka came from.
    7) Go to work.
8] Repeat Steps 4-7 until payday.
    9) Cash paycheck and buy movie.

That's already been discussed, ad nauseum, in another thread.

    Basically, that's bullshit too.
