    I hope and pray I'm in the right place.

    I use neodivx, ripping with smartripper and encoding with neodivx as divx 5 2 pass.

    Had no problems in the past, but lately all of my videos are coming out way too dark and have an awful red cast to them.

    As this problem seems to already be present when I'm editing crop size and prior to encoding, I'm pretty sure it must be the ripping process which is going wrong.

    I open the files with PowerDVD and have tried altering the colour/brightness settings there to see if it would make a difference, but it obviously doesn't.

    Any suggestions.

  2. I have encoutered this before with powerDVD, it has settings called , cold, warm etc. it changes the contrast and color of the playback. hope this helps ya. if not, unistall powerdvd then reinstall (but u shouldnt have to do that)...sasarchiver

    I already know about changing colour/contrast settings in PowerDVD though. It helps when I'm playing the DVD and capturing sill images from there.

    The problem is (though I don't think I made this clear) this picture is taken from the ripped and encoded divx file.
