    It's consumer hardware... it is always outdated by the time they hit the shelves.


    Pioneer has a machine with a hard drive, and 2 DVD burners, RGB (Betacam), firewire, and maybe SDI. No tuner though, And I don't think you'll like the price..... around $4500.00 USD. I'll be buying one, if the budget at work holds out, later this summer. We have hundreds of hours of Umatic tapes and SVHS tapes to archive.
    Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

    I'm not sure I follow. Is having RGB in and outputs rare on -RW machines?
    Why wouldn't -RW support RGB? My old Philips DVDR985 that I bought back in June, 2002 has those inputs...I think.
    Are these RGB's?
