  1. Does anyone know of any generic BT8x8 chip drivers that might/should work with the cybermail card under win2k or winXP. I really need to upgrade from winME but I'd prefer not to get a new capture card if at all possible.

  2. I also have the CyberMail BT878 card but I am running Windows 98SE. I am using VFW drivers from Askey that work a lot better than the drivers that came with the card. I can now capture up to 720x480 on my P3 733Mhz where before I could only get up to 352x240. Askey also has a WDM driver set for WinMe and Win2K that should work with the CyberMail card. Search the download page at http://www.askey.com/html/driver.html .
You could also try the "universal tweaked BT8x8/878 WDM drivers" from http://www.iulab.com . They should also work with the CyberMail card.
Note that with any WDM drivers on Win2K you will only be able to get 352x240 in VFW based programs like Virtual Dub because they rely on the VFW>WDM "wrapper" for capturing. You need a native WDM capture program to get full frame capture. The iulab site also has a capture utility called "iuvcr" based on WDM.
