  1. Hi,
I read here that to convert back from svcd to mpeg, all
you have to do is copy .mpg file from the cd to the hard
drive. I would like to be able to capture some video,
convert it to svcd and if I need to re-edit it for some reason, just get it back that way, but when I try this, I can't open it in media player or edit it with my editor software (Dazzle MovieStar). I hope I don't have to burn the original mpeg to a cd if I ever decide I want to re-edit it again, do I??? It seems in the process of converting it to svcd, something must get added to the original mpeg-2 file. Is there a utility that can un-do that process???
Thanks in advance. Learned a lot from this forum, thanks
    to everyone!!!

You may utilize VCDGEAR software (freeware).
    Get it in this website:
Go to "OTHER" (you can see in the side left column on this page)and click => "TOOLS" and you'll find VCDGEAR in CONVERTERS/REPAIR item.
Running the soft you choose "dat to mpg" converter and you'1l save it in blahblah.mpg file. It's easy.

IMPORTANTE: REALLY, I DON'T KNOW IF VCDGEAR CONVERTS TO MPG2(SVCD). FOR MPG1(VCD)IT WORKS PRETTY FINE.
ANYBODY CAN HELP dennis290 IN THIS? Tks.

    Anyway, you may test it.
    Bye.
