  1. I have an ASF file that I converted to an AVI file using ASF tools. AVI file plays fine on Windows media. I tried converting this AVI to MPEG2 via both TMPGEnc. and MegaPEG with audio problems. When playing the MPEG2 file for MegaPEG, there is no audio component to it but the conversion completed. The TMPGEnc conversion aborted due to an audio erros decoding. Any help would be appreciated. I am running an AMD 1200mhz with 70GB drive with 384 SDRAM.

  2. I had the same problem.
When u have the ready avi file - use Vdub to extract the audio : Under audio menu - choose full processing.
then save wav under file menu.
In TMPEG - use the avi as video source - and the extracted wav as audio source.... The TMPEG does the rest - no aborting
    Hope this helps
