Can anybody reccomend a good HT 5.1 speaker system? Will be used in a medium sized condo living room; not too loud, under $2000. Thanks.

Have a look at Cambridge Soundworks. I bought a 5.1 setup from them a couple of years ago and had a great experience. Best hi-fi purchase I ever made. Their stuff is as good as Bose, if not better. Certainly cheaper.

Check out the Boston Acoustics stuff. I picked up a nice 5.1 system a couple of years ago from them for around $1200.
It's similar to this model:

only mine is white in color!
I wouldn't have believed how good they sounded if I hadn't visited a store and listened to them in a demo room. They're not the highest end compared to others, but for the price range you're looking at, they may be close to what you are looking for.
Still, the best advice I or anyone can give you is to go down to a local electronics store and listen to what they have to offer. Take a movie and a CD with you and have them play those. Also, make sure that they are using an A/V unit or AMP that is similar to yours.
