Can someone explain?
When opening in Virtualdub mpeg-2 (which is the only one accepting the file) I can clearly see its a mpg-file.
GSpot that I normally use to check if DivX/Xvid does not take it (obviously since its a mpg-file).
Why is it shown as "AVI Video" in Explorer??
Saludos

stupid me - now sorted
if anyone wondered:
it was named with the wrong extension.
in explorer, Tools - Folders_option - File_types choose AVI and advanced and tick "always show extension" do the same for .mpg
then rename with correct ending in Explorer -
Crap. I guess it's too late to reply with "because Windows sucks ass" now.
