    Hello.

I am a little bewildered by all the choice, so can someone please help? All I would like is a recommendation of which brand of DVD+R to use in my Nu Tech DDW-082 (firmware upgrade from 081).

I had a batch of unbranded Maplin DVD-Rs that worked in my old NEC 2500A, but they do not work in the DDW-082. Nero looks like it's burning but discs are subsequently reported as blank!

    Many thanks

    Eric

It is unticked. Only Write is ticked.

The media that came with the drive work fine.

For what it's worth, DVDInfo reports this about the Maplin discs:

    Media Information
    Region information N/A not a DVD-VIDEO
    Media code/Manufacturer ID DDD DVDR
    Format Capacity Not Formatted
    Free Blocks 412352512
    Free Capacity 4.38GB(4.71GB)
    Book Type DVD-R
    Media Type DVD-R
    Media Id Code Speed Unknown
Available Write Descriptor CLV 2.0x 2770KBps
    Write Strategy Speed 1.0x 1385KBps
    Data area starting sector 30000h
    Linear Density 0.267um/bit
    Track Density 0.74um/track
    Number of Layers 1

    And

But all I really need is recommendation of a reliable DVD+R for this drive.

    Many thanks,
