  1. First off, before anyone says anything, Ive read just about every article on converting DivX/XviD to DVD offered at this site and a few other sites. I've followed the instructions exactly as stated in each guide I've used (which seem too be different from guide to guide). The problem I'm having is when i convert a DivX/Xvid video to an NTSC compliant DVD video using TMPGEnc, the video seems to very slightly skip every few moments. It goes through this pattern of smooth to slight skipping back to smooth throughout the entire film and it gets quite annoying. The DivX file in this example is a DVD rip, and its been encoded at 23.976 fps (the NTSC film standard i believe.) I searched the forums for answers to my prob, and I found a few related posts, but nothing seemed to really work. Below are pics of the settings I used to convert the DivX file. Any help would be much appreciated.
