I'm trying to use DVIO and/or WinDV to bring my videos from my camcorder into the computer for further processing.

Using DVIO or WinDV, the first scene is without audio unless I have the tape playing back before starting the capture. Susequent scenes (automatically separated) include the audio.

I'd rather start the capture, then roll the tape so as to capture so as to have as much of the scene available for editing as possible.

Is there any way to force the inclusion of the audio for every capture?

The audio is part of the DV file, don't know why it would not play right from the start. WinDV or DVIO are just an interface from Firewire to your computer, it's not capturing. Is the lack of sound when you are transfering or when you play back the DV?

  3. Seems like sync problems... try to capture with a util, that can switch
    off the remote commando's pass-through...
    Thanks,

It's both, but just for the first "scene" - all following are OK.
