I had trouble running a program and also poor Internet performance on my new XP computer. When I turned off "Hardware acceleration", everything worked just fine-the program worked and the Internet performance soared.
I am using CAT 3.4 on my AIW 9800 Pro(that's what it came with). What is the CAT that I need to install to preclude the above problems and not have to tinker with the Hardware Acceleration slide? I do not need the latest CAT, but the lowest CAT that works.

Hardware acceleration was the cause, because when tuned off things worked. When turned on they failed. Just installed CAT 4.4 and no problems now. The new drivers did the trick. One crazy thing though. Windows came up and said I had to activate in 3 days. Just changing the drivers gets Microsoft's paranoia going. I had to reactivate.
