  1. hi everyone!! Out of the blue my dvd-writer started to act stupid. Before i could use anydvd along with clonedvd but now when i format and install either anydvd or clonedvd by themselves or together the dvd-writer for example doesnīt format dvd-rw's using alchool or nero and it doesn't copy dvd's from the disk into blank dvd's. I never had this problems before.... Can anyone pleaaaaaassssseee give some help! Thanks in advance!

It might help if you gave some system spec's:

    1. DVD writer with firmware
    2. OS
    3. Which Version of alcohol and nero
    4. Is this a demo of AnyDVD or CloneDVD or full version's

Hi! Well i dont know if i can update the firmware of my dvd writer, i've never done it, the operative system is windows xp service pack 1 as always have been, nero i never used it before and the version of alcohol i'm sorry but i canīt tell you now cause i'm at work and not at home at the moment but i've always used the same version of alcohol without any problems and about anydvd and clonedvd they are both cracked softwares which i 've been using for a long long time and never had a problem. This problems started without a reason, on the same day i was formating burning etcc etcc and suddenly i couldn't format anymore (dvd-rw's) neither copy dvd's from the disk to blank dvd's. I have an idea of what could be the problem, correct me if i'm completely out of context... I think that this started to happen when i turned off system restore... can this be possible? like i said before for a long long time i used anydvd and clonedvd and my dvd writer was ok but then i noticed that after installing and removing programs, games,etc... some disk space was always missing so i turned off system restore and gained some gigabytes and i think that after i done this those softwares started to make conflicts with each other... Please tell me your opinion on this one! Thanks in advance!!!

just turning off system restore will not cause your problem. Anydvd has been known to cause issues with some drives. As I stated in a forum a couple of days ago, I installed anydvd ands then my burner couldn't read dvd's at all anymore. I don't know if the bug with anydvd was ever fixed, but I had to uninstall anydvd and then do a system restore to fix it.

  5. Well i've got some news regarding my "awsome" dvd-writer, looks like that the problem is not AnyDVD, if i format the PC and install alchool and try to format a dvd-rw it won't format seems that the writer only works if i install nero, if i install alchool, anydvd, clonedvd, etc, etc, the writer stops formating and copying dvd's from the hard disk to blank dvd's, this is very strange, what's the matter with my writer??? i never but never had this problems before.. Do i have to send the writer to the company for them to reset it or something like it?? the writer simply doesn't accept any software except nero, and i dont like nero.. and what if i want to remove protection of a dvd to make a backup??? it doesn't accept any other softwares... i need some expert's opinion on this one.. Please some help... THANKS in advance

have you used alcohol before? Alcohol might not support your burner.
