I rarely write DVD's and upto the past few weeks everything has been fine, but I recently tried burning a video to a disk and the software said "burn successful"; on running the disk; no data had been burn't... Strange but OK, so I thought I had a bad disk... Tried again; same problem.

I've got a Toshiba SD-R 6012 in my laptop; it's a x1 DVD-RW combo drive running Win XP.

I was using Stomp RecordNow MAX when the problem first started and after reading up on the subject decided that maybe it was a software problem; so I went out and bought Nero Burning ROM... Same problem.

Maybe a bad batch of disks; I've now bought 3 carousel's of different disks, comprising:
- Packard Bell (PC-World Premium's, RITEK I think)
- DataWrite Yellows
- O1ne (Sony/Ritek combo)

All disks produce the same results... Disk goes in; burn's for about 50 minutes and says all went well; then when attempting to play the disk; no data stored; on analysing the disk a clear change in disk color is present where data appears to have been written.

The strange thing about it; is I thought it might be the image because burning a normal data disk with a 1/2Gb's is fine; it's just files over 4Gb that don't seem to want to write.

Any ideas, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
