  1. I just updated to version 2.0.8.3 and when I try to play back the disc in my ps2 it says please insert a playstation or ps2 compatible format disc. This never has never happened before and just started with this update. It played back fine on my computer using intervideo's dvd player software. Has anyone else had a problem with this version of clonedvd2? Thanks again elby .. this is the second time you have put out a bogus version of clonedvd. The last time this happend it would burn just enough to ruin the disc and then would kick it out. What a waste of time and resources.

My success with playing copied DVDs in my PS2 is erratic. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - all with the same media and compression methods. I wouldn't necessarily blame it on a new version of the software you're using.

Try using different programs to compress and burn. You might get some better results. Unfortunately, PS2 is not the best hardware for playing copied DVDs. You might want to think about buying a cheap standalone player that better handles DVD+/-R media.
