Hi all,
OK, I know Premiere Pro is a DV program....
but....
I have some already compliant MPEG2 files I'd like to join (merge), and apply transitions ONLY to the merging frames;
Would Premiere Pro do that, and reencode ONLY the points of the sequence to which transitions have been added ?
On another approach, would Premiere Pro convert the MPEG2 files to DV format without affecting their quality, so I could add the transitions in DV atmosphere and reencode later according to my needs ?
Thanks to all,
Zetti

Thanks BJ, I am downloading the demo now;
While you're here and we are at it, please let me ask a very straight forward question without starting a new topic;
You use DVD Maestro, right ?
Does the "MPEG video export from timeline" function re-encode two videos that have been concatenated at the video track, or does it just resample the GOP's to make them properly in order ?
The manual isn't clear about it, as it's a fast function, I hope it just does the GOP fix
Thanks,
