Hello!
First i ripp the dvd in dvd decrypter, then I split it with dvdfab and after that I burn the two parts on seperate discs with Nero6. Is this the best way to do it?
Does anyone now the settings for nero6??
Thanks in advance!

Prio nr 1 for me is that the video quality is 100% and thats why I split them. I have a projector so quality-loss becomes more visible...
I also tried using nero recode 2 but I could only burn disc one with recode 2, with part two nero recode 2 said that "you are trying to burn an illegal dvd" or something like that...? Why does it say that about part two and not about part 1?? How do I solve it?

But when I load the dvd (part 2) in recode 2 I have allready decrypted it with dvd decrypter... Strange...

the more software you involve, the higher the margin of error

In the DVD Backup section on the left there are a few guides for spliting a DVD9 into 2 DVD-Rs . Are you following a guide at the moment ?

the only way you could do that is to use dvd x copy or something along those lines. Most original dvd's are about 7-8 gigabytes. The average dvdr will hold about 4 gigabytes. Dvd x copy will copy the movie on one blank and the special features on the other disc. You will not be able to do it without shrinking it otherwise. If you don't want to shrink, then why are you running it through recode?

Andyp1: No, I'm not following a gude... Can you please link me to the site that you are refering to?? It is very simple to split a dvd with dvdfab... Just to press: "split complete dvd" and dvdfab splits the dvd in half...
gitreel: I don't really know if you understand what I mean... I know that you only can fit about 4,4 gigabytes on one disc, but as I've said before, I've split the dvd into two parts....
Thanks for all the help!

Sure
1 This one uses DVD Shrink 3.0 Beta
http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=dvdsplit&name=shrinksplit
2 This one uses DVD Decrypter IFOEDIT and IMGtools
http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-2dvdrs.htm
Some believe that IMGtools and Decrypter is a better way to burn than Nero, it suposedly makes burns more compatible with more standalone players.
I haven't tried that yet but its one thing I must try soon.
Anyway have a look at the guides and see what you think. -
sorry for the misunderstanding. try those like andyp said. Hope it works out for you.
