  1. Pinneacle Instant Copy 8 made dvd's are pretty much corrupt. (for those who don't know check https://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t206530.html/)

It's rather impossible to open the dvd's in any program and do anything with it.

I found a nice way to fix the dvd's more or less. But the problem is I'm still having some glitches here and there. Like some flickering in the screen.

    The procedure is as follows:

Use DVDdecryptor and choose Enable Stream Processing and rip the right streams you want to your harddisk.

Delete everything except for the vob files.. en rename them as follows:

    VTS_01_1.VOB
    VTS_01_2.VOB
    VTS_01_3.VOB
    etc

Now open ifoedit choose create ifo's and select the first vob file. After this open the original ifo on the dvd. Select VTS_PGCITI -> VTS_PGC_1 and choose copy subtitle color.. paste in into the new Ifo file in the same location.

Now rename the streams to their right language.

Safe the IFO file. And then choose VOB Extras > Create new ifo's. Leave the setting to their defaults.

Now the dvd is done. You will notice it plays smoother in powerdvd.

But the problem is I still get some flickering and stuff. Sometimes I get a flickering on my standalone dvd player while powerdvd doesn't.

Has anyone got a better method of fixing the Pinneacle crap? I can't believe everyone is fine with the fact the PIC8 produces incompatible DVD's. What purpose does that serve.

And I'm really annoyed by the fact that more and more people are using PIC these days.

Anyone got some ideas on this topic?

I have a few IC7 and IC8 DVDs that I wanted to change. TMPGEnc DVD Author will open them, so I used that to open them, create new menus and recreate the disk.

Thanx! I will give that a try. Altough my latest methods only gives very few glitches. So it's hard to recreate the situation and check if this program will fix it.

Can you confirm that the movie was 100% okay afterwards?

    Update:

Just tried it, but the program doesn't seem to support subtitles and multiple audio-languages.
