    Got a DVD-+R 8X Firewire burner a couple of weeks ago. No it just says "click"...."click"......."click"......."click" when i insert a disk.. nothing more..

    tried to update firmware.. no change.. tried USB cable.. no change.

    Yeah, I didn't see "Lacie Technical Support" written anywhere in this forum's description... That's obviously a hardware problem, and so hopefully you bought it new or under warranty, and can either get it fixed or get your money back.
