TMPGEnc DVD Author probelm

I Have been using TMPGEnc DVD Author for a while now and found it a reliable piece of software, until recently.

For some reson now every time i use DVD2one to shrink and join movies I always get a movie less when I open a new project in TMPGEnc DVD Author on selecting the titles in the folder available. I have always used DVD2one to perform shrinking and joining.

To make sure that the folder held all the files I had shrunk and joined I burnt a DVD using Nero 6. The DVD was exactly what I expected in that all the short movies that I had joined were there on the DVD I had just burnt.

So why is TMPGEnc telling me that only 2 tiles were available for a new project, when there should be 3? I like to use TMPGEnc for the great menu feature it has. I have tried Ulead DVD Movie Factory, but for some reason my 4.0 gig folder that holds the DVD files is constantly displayed as 5.5 gig and too big to burn to a 4.7 gig disc.

In case this helps, i had just installed a Panasonic encoding tool before things went wrong with TMPGEnc.

guessing that the last vob is under 1gig and dvd author doesnt recognize it? In response to your other question about MF2, it is either:

1) trying to convert the audio (recommend turning this off)
2) trying to convert the input file

thanks macleod... actually, i joined three movies. one was 2 hrs, one was 1 hr 20mins and the other 21 mins. it always seems to be the 1hr 20 mins file that does not turn up on DVD Author.

no problem with the 21 mins file.

i'll try looking into MF2 and making sure the settings that you have mentioned are as.
