Has anyone ever changed the fans in a Lian-Li case? They seem to be held in with some sort of plastic rivit. I don't want to force it out in case I break it.

Look at the side of the rivet with the fingers on it. Between the four fingers is a shaft that leads to the head of the rivet. Get a small phillips screwdriver or something that can push on that shaft and push it out. That shaft is what spreads the fingers out to hold it in place. Those rivets are used a lot for securing fans when you don't want to mess with screws. You should be able to reuse them as well. I replaced every fan in my Lian Li and was able to reuse all the plastic rivets.

  4. Look on the inside of the rivet. It will be plastic that's splayed out. Pinch the two sides together firmly with tweezers or your fingers if it's a big one, and that will make it the right shape to slot through the hole!

Here's a (badly drawn) diagram I made in Paint to try to illustrate what I'm saying.

    Hope this helps!

I am truly impressed Cobra. Drawings to go along with a good set of suggestions. The bar has been raised for the rest of us.

I've been dead arty-farty today. It's quite worrying. Really.
