    TMPGEnc merge & cut isn't bad, but it doesnt seem to accept ever .mpg file.

    Yes, but Vdubmod doesn't output as mpeg, nor does it join mpegs at all. Usually TMPGEnc only complains if the two clips have different resolutions and/or bitrates. However if both clips are the same, give Womble MPEG2 VCR a try.

  4. I use tmpgenc merge and cut (only if both mpegs have the same specs) why do you want to do this ?.

    If you are having probs you could edit the dvd using tmpgenc dvd author using file 1 as chapter 1 and file 2 as chapter 2, when tmpgenc dvd author switches between the chapters you will hardly notice a change (bit like the change in a dual layer dvd).

    TMPGEnc is superb, providing (as already mentioned...) the clips are exactly the same and they were produced by TMPGEnc itself.
    Otherwise, it's possible you'll sufer audio/video sync issues.
    I remember a program called VCDCutter which did this, but I'll be buggered if I can remember where to get it
