Best Adware/Spyware "FREE" software?

Anyone have any suggestions/advice on where I can download the best freeware adware or spyware "remover?" I have some spyware on my system I need to get rid of. I've deleted all my peer to peer software and everytime I search google for adware/spyware "free" removers I get sites that either charge for the stuff or that say it's "free" and then when you D/L it, the only thing that is free is the "searching" of spyware. The actual deletion costs money. What a pain.

Anyone have any suggestions

2 biggies:
Lavasoft AdAware, and
Spybot Search & Destroy.

Both free, both regularly updated, and both remove the crap. Get and use them both, and spyware will be a thing o' the past.

Ad-aware is great. I just downloaded Spybot and I am very pleased with it.

I liked Adaware until I D/l'ed Pest Patrol and it caught spyware that Adaware had missed (right after I made the mistake of joining Kazaa).

I find spybot finds things adaware does not and vice versa.

The two combined work flawlessly.

...and the not yet mentioned enough but will be soon SpywareBlaster from Javacool. (just installed this one, its a blocker, not a remover, and its sweet)
