free video "chat" software

Hi all. I have Office 2007 here on my work machine at home. I work for a university from home, which is all kinds of handy for me and my family, but I cannot the functionality I've read about online for video conferencing integrated into MS Office ProPlus 2007. I know I could just get Skype, (I've never used any by the way with my webcam) and use that or something similar, but the folks I want to connect with I'd rather minimize software installations beyond what they already have - and we all have the same version of Office running on XP Pro SP3.

Any input will be well appreciated.

Can you video chat using AIM?

Skype is your best bet,trying to use office is beyond there abilities to conference if skype is going to be an issue to install..

I can't remember if AIM does it, but MSN Messenger certainly allows for video/voice chat. And, unlike AIM, there's a good chance MSN Messenger's already installed on all of those systems.
