i was encoding an xvid 23.976 fps file to 29.97 (NTSC) MPEG-2 format using tmpgenc....in the "result of batch encode" window, the result of that file was unsucessful because of i believe it was "index header out of range", but it could be something else close to that...the file is supposed to be about 90 minutes, but only got about 30 minutes through and didnt encode anymore...is there a way to fix this, or is it just a bad file?

i scanned the file through virtualdubmp3freeze and DivxRepair, and they both said all frames appear good...

It could very well be a bad file but you might want to try frameserving with Virtualdub.
