How do you convert a MOV file? What tools would be needed? Thanks in advance.

    BJ,
remind the user that a small donation to APPLE is all that's required to be able to EXPORT in Quicktime
    (QUICKTIME PRO)

of course if its a TRAILER or other PROTECTED CONTENT..
none of these menthods will work....

    Branch,

You _may_ need a more recent version of Quicktime. Some of the Matrix Reloaded trailers and Animatrix shorts required ver 6 but didn't say so explicitly.

  9. You could try this nifty little plug-in for TMPGEnc:

You will need quicktime installed for it to work though.

  10. The quicktime plugin for TMPGEnc works quite well. Yes, quicktime does need to be installed, but you can download and use it for free. The pro version enables even more features. The free version is the same as the pro version, but you need to purchase a serial in order to unlock the extra features of the pro version.

If you are having problems getting the audio out of a mov file when using TMPGEnc, then try RadVideoTools. It can extract the wav file out of a mov file. I used this tool successfully when converting a couple of episodes of the Animatrix. In particular, "The Second Renaissance" episodes would have no audio when converted through TMPGEnc. So, I extracted the audio, then used that wav file when converting the video portion through TMPGEnc.

Any advice as to what might be the best lossless format to export to that TMPGEnc will still be able to accept as input?
