Some avi file is a fake???

I use Gspot Codec Information to see it's format. Gspot returns "non-avi file- Type unknown" . Even VirtualDub cannot open it/neither does Ulead Mediastudio. Or does anyone knows what format it is in and how to open it?????

Every now and then somebody creates a post like this and then watches with glee as the "flamers" get all bent out of shape.

The thing that disturbs me about this post, wether in jest or not, is that it can't simply be chalked up to a clueless newbie. This user has over 40 posts.

Yes there is only one file VH.avi at 607MB , and he puts the word Divx in the file. That's why I tried to open it with Divx player and then used Gspot to analyse it. The format is unknown, impossible to even find out what type of file it is. If it was another movie rename it would play, but in this case cannot even identify what type of file it is.

...and when did I "insert dictionary quote here" for the file. I said that Warez was bad and he should not do it, made him edit the file so it was pc (as with 90% of questions on here) but never "insert dictionary quote here".

I don't think Hardcoreruss did anything really wrong. If anything
he saw a yet another flame war on the horizon. Perhaps
it was an error to tell him to edit though, ok russ ?

You can argue either side, but you can be sure that
this bickering between fellow board members over warez
is going to result in all parties getting a yellow card sometime
soon.
