  1. For some reason, all of a sudden about a week ago all of my avi's and mpegs started playing upside down. At first I thought it was just windows media player, but I have since removed and reinstalled the program. Thats not the problem. What makes this even harder for me to figure out is that when I write them to vcd, they work fine. This may be something very simple, but since im kind of new to this, could someone please let me know what is going wrong?

    Thanks

  2. Have you registered any codecs or filters recently. early versions DivXG400 (http://www.tac.ee/~prr/videoutils/)caused this within opening windows media player either 6.4 or 7.0. If its not than I can most assuredly guess its another filter causing a similar problem

Best way I think You could find out which filter it could be is by opening any video that this happens with within graphedit and seeing if there's any filters besides the renderers, the decoders and the splitters. Whatever you find look it up in a search engine for potential bugs that might point to your issue. hope this was somewhat helpful

  3. It sounds to me like you may be using the Australian version of the codecs. Very similiar to water going down the drain in a counter clockwise rotation.

  4. I had a similiar problem about 2 weeks ago. I dled SASAMI2K and it plays all my SVCD's upside down. Has to be a connection there somewhere. It plays right on my DVD player. SASAMI2K is an Mpeg2 player. A translation program had to be dled with it.
