Just watched this over the weekend finally. I love Kingsley's work, he's been great in every movie I've ever seen him in. Of course Jennifer Connelly is hot, and a pretty good actress to boot. This movie had some great reviews when it was released as well, but I had never really read through many of them.

Anyway, no spoilers here other than the general sentiment of the movie. The whole film makes you feel uneasy wishing either side would stop to think things through instead of aggravate the other side. You never really feel sorry for any of them. Acting is fantastic in this, especially near the end. However after watching this I want to drown myself in the sink. The movie was very depressing into the end. Anyone else get really bummed out watching it?

Watched Kukushka over the weekend as well with the gf. That was a far happier story though much more simplistic.

It takes a truly good actor to be both Gandhi and the scientist from Species!

Sounds like my kind of flick. I'll be checking this one out, thanks.

Or portray Itzhak Stern in Schindler's List to a strongarm in Sexy Beast. One of the great actors of our time, and House of Sand and Fog is probably his best work. It's too bad it's such a sad story, but maybe that's what brings about an actor's best.

Need I remind you of his stunning work in Species?
