  1. How come the dvd-r i burn works just fine on my pc but not on my
dvd player? Using dvd decrypter and a NEC 1300a.
If anyone has any ideas what could be wrong please tell me.

  2. Do you know that your player reads DVD-R and that it likes the media you are using? What brands do you use?

  4. there are a number of reasons. Unfortunately, you have provided NO information about anything so there is no way to give you anything other than generalities ranging from bad media to incompatible player.

To answer your basic question of why dvdrs play OK on your player and not on your standalone is because your pc player is A LOT more forgiving than your standalone. Your pc will probably play all kinds of non spec aspect ratios, bit rates, audio, etc. while your standalone expects a perfect disc.

  5. Good morning!!!

To bad indeed you didn't give any specs, but like macleod said, your PC has better 'Eyes'.Meaning that it can read better, and I assume that your are using your burner for the reading... that's definitly true... the burners laser is more powerfull and is albed to read alsmost every quality of disc...

As you may have been reading here on the forum. the number one awnser is your media... On the other hand, my opinion is that it also has to do with the software you are using (rip program, shrink program burn program and firmware). I Had a major problem regarding burning traxdata ritek g04 in my Liteone 451s. after a lot of try en error, i updated the firmware on my burner (modded it to the 851s model with GSoH firmware (for the record) and this solved al my problems (i couldnt burn the -R but +R went fine...))

So try other software, if ripping and shrinking is working fine, try using a different burn software like copytodvd, recordnow MX etcetc... and play around with the firmware. Try to find the best configuration that fills all your burning wishes

and for the next time, post your computer specs then your the man!

    good luck!!
