HI all, I am having a BIG problem with converting AVI`s so I can burn them on to dvd. Most of the time I use TMPENC plus 2.5 to convert the files. But its with files that have :
Video Codec: XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
Audio Codec XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
Tmpenc with not recognise them, I really need to get the files burned can anyone help me out![]()

That can't be. Xvid isn't an audio compression type. Use G-spot to find out what exactly it is. Installing FFDSHOW should allow TMPGEnc to open your movie but I would advise that you deompress the avi's audio to PCM wav. Open the movie with Virtualdub, go to the audio menu and select "full processing mode" then go to file and select "save wav". Use the wav file as your audio source in TMPGEnc. If your avi has ac3 audio you'll need to install the AC3 ACM Decompressor prior to using Virtualdub.Originally Posted by rocky1980
