Hello, I didn't know where to put this. Feel free to move this thread! Well, I recently made a VCD. It was a movie that is split onto 2 VCDs. Now after I made those 2, I noticed that I could have enough space to have it fit on VCD by just merging them. Is there a way to go into the VCD I made, copy MPEG file and paste it back into my harddrive? Because I deleted the 2 MPEG files right after I finished burning the VCD.

  2. yes. Put the VCD into your cd drive. Go to the mgav (something like that) folder and copy the aviseq.dat file to your hard drive. You can probably get away with just renaming the .dat to mpg. If you want to make sure that it works right, download isobuster(on left under tools) and use it to extract the .dat file. After that go into TMPGENC multiplex and merge them. You may or may not have audio sync issues (depends on the source file).

Ok, I extracted the DAT files. At the IsoBuster homepage, it says "Mpg (*.dat) Extraction and dat2mpg 'in one'." How do I do that? The VCD I have is a little bit...crappy because of the CD label. How do I correct it and then extract the DAT and then convert back to MPEG? It says "in one". But there's no function like that anywhere.

    Edit:
It worked! But when I played it, it still gets glitchy. Does IsoBuster really correct the disc errors? If you know an alternative method or you know how to peel off CD labels, please read my other post.

Isobuster doesnt correct errors,it ignores them if you choose so if you see glitches it`s cause of a bad burn or bad encode.Sometimes the cd/dvd you rip with can produce the errors if it doesnt read the vcd very well.If thats the case use a good cd/dvd device for ripping.

VCDGear to correct the dat to mpg format.

VCDEasy with built in VCD to MPG Ripping.

MPEG-VCR can open the .dat file on the cd and edit, then output.

TMPGenc Mpegtools. Put each VCD in two different drives, use the merge and cut function.

I have an official karaoke VCD that I want to put on a DVD. When I opened it with IsoBuster, there were these folders:

    CDDA
    CDI
    EXT
    KARAOKE
    MPEGAV
    SEGMENT
    VCD

Do I just need to extract the files in the MPEGAV folder? What are the other folders for?

    Edit:
Also, the VCD has a still menu that comes up before the concert starts. How do I copy that onto my hard drive?
