I am using the canon i965 and ritek 1X-4X inkjet printable discs from svp in the uk.
The problem is that when i print on them (i have been using the supplied cd-labelprint software) the image is mis-aligned by about 20mm away from me (as it goes into the printer). I've done about 20 attempts with 2 successes![]()
I am sure i have aligned everything correctly. The arrows on the caddy are lined up and the other bit is clicked in.
Another problem is that sometimes i get the "cd tray/ disc not present/inserted message" even when there is. When i have another go with the same disc at a later date it sometimes prints, although still mis-aligned.
Canon support Uk have been less than useful. They asked if the disc was of the correct dimensions and then stated that they only recommend maxell media.
I've only found one place in the UK which sells this media at £1.05 per disc which is $1.9. However they only sell pack of 50 and i don't want to get discs that don't print properly.
Hope someone can shed some light on this issue. Is it really the media?

That seems to be problem pretty much word for word.
I will try masking and messing round with the reflectors.
thanks!
