Hi All,
Hopefully you can help me?
I am looking for a really simple editing program that could remove four adverts from a TV episode and then output the file either in its original format or through a DIVX encoder.
I have tried some of the software on here and they really do not handle
Compressed video very well.I use an ATI 8500 DV card and record in MPEG2 Interlaced.
I have tried using videostudio 7 which I am quite good in but it outputs the video in a weird and choppy way.
I have tried AVI Mpeg splitter(Crap) Mpeg video wizard(Crap) and Media Studio pro 7 which is a little beyond my editing abilities at the moment.
Is there not just a simple program that would cut out four adverts and then spit out the completed video???
Thanks for any help.
Please let me know if you need more info?

Hi,
I can think of several easy ways using inexpensive software, either tmpgenc author or ulead moviefactory. I prefer tmpgenc auther using the chapter/cut function. It has a fully functional trial for download and will output a fully authored ready to burn dvd compliant video_ts. You can also try ulead mf using the trim function, but ulead products are more tempermental and crash-prone. Also dvd shrink has a trim function and is free. Hope this helps! -
Thanks.
I have just realised that I have been using Womble Video wizard and should be using Womble Mpeg2Vcr (Duh).
Sorry about this - I spent a bot of time messing around with some badly designed trimming problems and should have just read the tutorials.
Thanks and sorry to waste anyones time.
