My DVD player will play VCD; however, I'm trying to get better quality since I'm showing a picture slide show with music.
I have tried the VCD header trick using TMPGE to turn a SVCD to VCD but when I play the file in my DVD player (Toshiba SSD-V391), it only plays the music.
Since it will play the music, does it mean my video settings are off? Any thoughts?
Thanks

it means that your dvd player doesn't support svcdvcd.

Thanks for the reply. I did some more investigating and see that the .mpeg file (birthday.mpg) coded for SVCD in TMPGE will play in media player but when I use the header trick and resave the file (birthday1.mpg), media player will only play the music.
So the problem is before I even get to VCDeasy or with the DVD player. I originally used SSMM to create the .avi file. Any further insight.
Thanks
