  1. I just purchased a pack of 50 inkjet printable prodisc -r media for my nec 2500a, it cost $44 with free shipping. Please tell me if I did the right thing. Is this good media and will it work with my burner? Is this a good price?

Isn't it too late to be asking questions once you've already bought them?

I am pretty damn picky about the type of DVD-R media I use.

I haven't used Prodisc but lately a lot of people I trust have used them and said that they are excellent and nearly as good as the really good stuff like Taiyo Yuden and Maxell.

Almost hard to believe since they are so damn cheap.

I'm going to order a 50 pack and try them myself.

  6. FulciLives, I don't think I would put them up there with TY or Maxell BUT I would say they are on par with the Ritek G04. I bought a 50pk of the silver InkJet Printables to try out I do like them but you have to dump a lot of ink on them to look good.

The scans are about even maybe a little better than the G04's but not even close to my TY scans.

  7. Can I ask if those decent branded products (e.g. Maxell, TDK...) are expensive in Europe and US? Because I heard most of you love using Princo and Ritek...

This is who I buy from:

    www.cd-rmedia.co.uk

Branded DVDs tend to be about 2-3x the price of unbranded stuff.

I recently bought 100 Prodisc S03 4x DVD-R Hub Printables from SuperMediaStore and so far I couldn't be happier. I've used about 35 opf them so far - no coasterd, great quality burns that play on all my players and good printing quality.

A bargain for $0.82 each delivered.

So does this mean that the Memorex -R with the MediaID:ProdiscS03 are considered high quality media??

I'm from Israel where media is more expensive (about 2$ for cmc Memorex) but the way i decided on what to buy is through the user comments on different media... look at your dvd-writer comments as well... they're very helpful...
