  1. Hey, i recently bought a portable dvd player. I have been unable to open it cause im currently a bit busy, but i have a question. I usually burn my dvd's with 4:3 view, but the dvd player says 16:9. I use 4:3 because thats the auto set on TMPGenc and my home dvd players works fine with it. Here are my 2 questions: What will happen when i play my dvds with are 4:3 on the 16:9 portable 7 inch dvd player? I now have began to burn 16:9 and noticed that they are bit squished so under video arange method in tmgenc i make it center (custom) size and choose my own size so that it looks fine, but the aspect ratio is still on 16:9 will this affect anything?
Any light on these topics would be greatly appreciated

They'll be stretched horizontally if you display them full screen. There are many ways around it - zoom, black bars left and right, stretch only the left/right side... You'll know which ones your player supports when you open it.

Not sure what you do here, but if you want to make 16:9 videos they have to be "stretched" vertically and flagged as 16:9. What your player will do then is stretch them horizontally so that they display properly on 16:9 screen (on a 4:3 will squeeze the image and add bars top and bottom for letterboxed mode).
