    when i put my calculated bitrate into tmpgenc, it makes the file to big for dvd+r disc, i always have to lower the bitrate, whats wit that?

    The TMPGEnc bitrate calculator overestimates the file size. If you adjust to 100%, by the time you go to burn (in Nero, say) it will just be over 4Gb.

    As suggested, use the bitrate calculator on this site.
