  1. okay.. so its like 4:30 in the morning, and i go to walmart to get a pack of smokes. they're the cheapest, by atleast $1.50 to any place that is open at this time of the day.. the store is pretty much vacant, and there is only one open register, so i walk up to and wait, and wait.. its right in front of the customer service dept, and there is a lady there doing some crap, totally ignoring me.. i wasnt sure if she was the cashier or not.. so after a few more seconds i walk up to her and say "can you please get the cashier running that register?".. she says she's the cashier, and said she couldnt see me, i was like "right...".. anyhow, i command her to get me pack of cigarettes (for you foreigners; they dont allow us to get our own cigarettes, they're always in a guarded area).. the total is $2.61.. i give her 2 one's, and then start retrieving the change from my pocket.. and as i'm doing so she uses the forgery pen on the two ONE DOLLAR BILLS i gave her.. its obviously her way at seeking revenge on me for being somewhat rude.. so i give her 65 cents to complete the transaction and say "keep the change, use it to buy some manners", i take my pack of smokes, pocket them and walk out.. as i'm walking out the front door the security officer confronts me and insinuates that i made a threatening remark to the cashier.. i ignore him and keep walking to my car, he tells me to stop and then starts to come at me, i sidestep him and tell him "i didnt do anything wrong, there are cameras out here and in the store, i paid for my item and now i'm leaving. if you try to detain me, i'll have you arrested and sue walmart".. he tells me that he's going to call the police & take down my lisence plate number if i leave.. knowing that it will shine a bad light on me if i just leave the premises, i decide to stick around. i told him to call the police, he wanted to talk, but i refused to discuss the situation until the police arrived.. so anyhow, he radio's in to someone in their security office and tells them to call the police.. i stay outside with him, because i dont want to get cornered in to one of their indimidation offices.. about 5 minutes later the police arrive and they're very aggressive towards me (the guy in the security office told them i assaulted the cashier).. the security officer, the cashier, and the cop, & i all go to the security office.. i explain the situation.. then they review the tapes (which suprisingly have audio).. there was a camera above the register & in the customer service dept.. they get the idea that the cahsier was trying to be a bitch and that i did nothing wrong.. they wind up arresting her for filing a false police report and abuse of the 911 system.. apprently she told the security officer in the security office that i had pushed her when i handed the money to her.. which was obviously not the case when i handed the dollars bills & the coins to her.. shortly after that the police officers wanted to keep questioning me.. probably because i was being an ******* to them, so they wanted to try to **** with me.. so i just asked them "am i being detained?", they said no, so i turned around and walked out of the office, out of the store & to my car..

i'm wondering if there is any legal (cashwise) action i could take against walmart?

dunno one way or the other about legal action, but I see where you biggest mistake is. You see I would never be rude to the cops unless I felt they were being unreasonable.

When they arrived I would have been their best friends in the world. "here is what happend" "sure no problem lets go review the tapes"

If I know I'm not in the wrong and I KNOW its going to be obvious then why be rude to the Police? This way the other peeps get to look like the dumb asses they are, and the Police dont bother me when I roll out of there.

Of course a family member by marriage is a cop, so I know kinda know what NOT to do to set them against you, cause thats never a good idea.

reading exactly what you wrote and knowing nothing else, it was a great story, I was pleased you fucked with the store until I read how you started to get clever with the cops.
    Serves you right you arsehole.

There's a saying us fog-breathers use over here is wanker-land...

    "...quit while you're ahead".

There's another saying we have over here.

"You greedy fuckers obsessed with suing are going to bring down the economy, I hope you choke in your sleep".

That's my personal favourite, I like that one.

    Will,

    My sentiments exactly.

Was it you jeex who received money for pulling out of a junction and getting hit by a lorry, WHILE NOT LOOKING AT THE ROAD?

Wow your legal system is messed up.

wagon, truck, cab and trailer. that kind of thing.

We have junctions here - T junctions (because there's three ways to go) and then we have crossroads, because it's where two roads cross.

Going from memory he didn't even check whether the lights had changed from red to green.....
Shame here wasn't CCTV footage of that, eh?

in almost any other situation, i would have did exactly what you said.. but when the cop arrived, he was being really assholish and aggressive towards me.. if i were in almost any other situation (for example being pulled over for speeding) i would have been nice to the cop, he was just doing his job.. but when he starts acting that way towards me when i know i've done nothing wrong, then i'm gonna act that way towards him.. do unto others as they do unto you.. its not like it mattered if i was being nice or being an ******* towards him, it wouldnt have been beneficial or detrimental in the situation..

i was ahead during the entire situation.. all i am guilty of is being rude, i commited no criminal act.. if she had followed her training and done her job and not tried to be a bitch and take out whatever problems she's having in her life on me then the whole situation would have been fine..

You didn't say the cops were being arseholes, that why I said...

reading exactly what you wrote and knowing nothing else

are you so deprived of sleep from your new daughter that you actually think i'm wrong in ths whole situation?

go take a nap & then reconsider the whole situation.. you just want me to be wrong becuase i'm me.. and maybe under normal circumstances you could make a better argument than i.. but you're really coming off stupid in this one.. go give you daughter a kiss, tell her good night, go to sleep, and then come up with a strategy to make me look wrong, and to not make yourself look such a dumbass.

My goodness, you are really are an arsehole.
Okay, for the inbred idiot that fills 98% of your mass...
...From your original post I was with you all the way, you fucked the emplyees good and that was great.
What I found typical of you, you part ape, is you decided to **** with the cops, and paid the price.
You even said yourself you brought it upon yourself.
Now listen monkey-boy, and listen carefully...
....you never said the cops were being arseholes, so my simple point (aka jeex) is that if you **** with the police for no reason you're going to get fucked.
Now, lets stop all this nonsense before that wondeful moderator offline comes out of hibernation , makes his first post in like six years and mistakenly assumes we're arguing.

jeex, I hoped you would have rubbed it in the cashier's face. She tottally tried to screw you over there. You would have thought that after all of that in the end the cops would have been nicer to you, seeing you pay their paychecks, and did nothing wrong. Again to the point. Wal-Mart blows!

  19. I wouldn't bother with legal action, you are only going to come up against a team of their lawyers.

If you do want to do something to them go to your local current affairs show (the ones that love stirring shit) and put on the story of how you were harassed by Walmart staff and how they overstepped their powers. You'll probably get a nice apology from Walmart and maybe some cash.

If you do take that course of action though clean up the story and yourself. Also keep the police out of it, they might admit that they were wrong on air but then everytime you get pulled over you're going to get reamed.

On a side note, I loved the convenience of being able to walk into a shop at like 4am in the morning when I was in America and being able to buy most things.

  25. I'd also ring (not write, that way they have nothing in evidence) the store manager of the local Walmart store and tell them that you wish to be suitably reimbursed for your time, damage to your reputation etc that arose from the incident and that if it doesn't happen you will go to the media.

We have 24 hour supermarkets, 7-11's, service stations etc but not places like Walmart open at that time of the day.

One local shopping centre near me opened up for 24 hour shopping in the week before Christmas but all our normal shops shut around 7pm. It'd be good if they did stay open 24 hours because I work for the Australian version of Walmart and I think it'd be cruisy working in the dead of the night getting penalty rates. Plus I'm a bit of a night owl.

so i give her 65 cents to complete the transaction and say "keep the change, use it to buy some manners
A pox on both your houses. Looks like you should have kept a few pennies from your change and bought some manners for yourself. Young people need to realize, that someone being rude to them is no reason for being rude to them in return. What it instantly turns into is two people being rude.

You can call me a limp wrist if you like, but I would have taken what I bought and left, wondering a single thought: What parents raised such an awful child? Now I have to think in pluarlities, now.
    Hello.

  29. We have late night shopping on thursday nights (most peoples pay day) and the shops are open till 9pm. Our fast food places are open either till about 11:30pm or 24 hours for the larger chains (McD's, Subway etc).

You also have extended trading hours in places like Surfers Paradise and the inner cities to account for tourists. Those hours don't count for things like pubs, clubs and places like that which usually stay open till like 4 or 5 in the morning.

Geez, that when people start leaving there houses here in SC. Most places around here close at 11-12. Most Fast Food places now close at 1am.
I noticed that when I was over there, Americans seem to start the day later then us though. Most workers will work from 9-5 which gives them 2 hours to shop at most places or 4 hours at the major supermarkets.

One of the things that amazed me about America was how late the sun set at night. In some places it was still light at 9pm, over here the latest it sets is around 6:30ish.
