A few mates and I are off to Prague for a few days at the end of this month and was wondering if anyone here had any advice on things to do, see or avoid ?

Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard. -
my advice, dont go.
your money would be better spent at a strip club.
vcdhunter in 20 years...
vcdhunter: hey remember that time we went to prague?

vcdhunter: remember that time we blew a huge wad of cash at the strip club?

actually, i'm making it better..
if i talk shitty about prauge, you'll go there expect satans *******, but it wont be near as bad, so you'll actually have a good time.. and the satisfaction of knowing i'm wrong.. its kind of like when you hear a movie is bad, but you watch it anyways and think its alright.. only because you thought it would be horridly shitty in the first place..
i'm doing you a favor.. but now that you've tried to call me on it you're gonna have a shitty time in prague.. enjoy your lifelong genital warts.. -

2) If your question has anything to do with copying PS2/PC/XBox games, find a more appropriate website -
Been to Praha 6 times since Oct 1991, the most recent time in '97. That's true about the beer, check out U Flecku (most famous bar in Praha) for good eats and cheap brew. It's a bit of a tourist spot, but everyone has to be there at least once. I like to hang out on Charles Bridge (Karluv Most, in local language) built way back in 1357, and is probably the coolest spot to hang out. Lots of people and vendors, but a great place to be at night for the view of Hradcany (Prague Castle).
Just out of town is Karlstejn Castle, if you're into castles, it is one of the more interesting ones around the area. Tourists pay about 90 CZK (~$3.00) entry fee back in 97, could be more now. There are buses available out of Wenceslas Square (mid-town) every day of the week.
I liked the Black Light nightclubs, of which there are several around town. For a small entry fee, trip back to the 60's with the Yellow Submarine show (if it is still going), it made me think I was in Haight-Ashbury in '68. The place is pitch-black and then the music starts, objects seem to float above and all around you in neon black light color. Really trippy. Best if you have knocked a few back at the local pub first...
You can go to Mala Strana, "Lesser town" near the Vltava river, lots of nightclubs there and great scenery. Be sure to go to "Old Town Square", Staromestke, check out the clock tower and restaurants. Try the local brew, Staropramen or Branik - both great, or the most famous Pilsner beer, Pilsner Urquell. It's exported all over the world from the town of Plzen (the type of beer named for this town), about 50 miles east of Praha.
Rent a car and explore the countryside, there's a lot of things going on besides in Praha. It's just the beginning. I could go on and on, but I have to say that Praha is my favorite spot in Europe, I plan to go again soon as I can. I always stay at the same B&B, they have cheap rates and are very clean and modern. The last time I was there, I paid about USD equivalent of $12 a night. That included a great breakfast and all you can drink local mineral water, a great wake-up.
Go and have a great time. PM me when you get back, I'd love to hear your impressions of the place. I'd live there if I could!Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
The beer is dirt cheap and the whores are dirty and dirt cheap.
You can't go wrong. -

Too bad we can't download the brew to go with it...Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
