With the exptremely high cost of ink cart replacements, has anybody tried the Inksaver program. Does it work and give good quality prints.

  2. I been using black refill for years. Just recently i tried color refill, brand is "G&C", and it is not so good... Too much magenta, i noticed already when refilling that the magenta was thinner, very liquid, compared to yellow and cyan. Its VERY visible on the prints when comparing it to original canon ink. My printer got color settings so its not so bad now, set magenta down and down, so am satisfied with it for dvd covers and other printjobs, but would not use it for family photos.
Theres many brands of ink refill, i had bad luck now with the "G&C" and cannot recommend it for canon, will try another next time. If anyone knows a good color refill for canon, pls post.

Edit: Sorry, forgot to answer the original post. No, havent tried that program, i believe reducing ink usage has to give lower quality.
