Dawn of the Dead Re-released on DVD!!!

just picked up a copy of Dawn of the Dead on DVD at Wal-mart for about $15. As I was hoping, since the new movie came out the re-released the original. I'd feel so stupid if I'd actually payed $80 and up for it on Ebay.

there is absolutely no decent electronics store anywhere near where I live.

well, if you can wait a few days, you might try Deep Discount DVD, they are usually super cheap and they ship pretty quick...

Yeah I've used deep discount before. its not bad, but I'd rather just pay a little more local unless I have a bigger order to place. still a lot better than $80 any way you cut it.

That film scared the shit out of me. I watched it when I was about 11 or 12 round a friends house and then had to walk home in the dark. Never been so scared by a film before or since.

watched the DVD for the first time last night. Picture quality is amazing. they must have completely remaster it this time. the colors are much better than the previous DVD releases and even the audio sounds more natural. I just wish it was the director's cut instead of the theatrical, but I won't complain too much. Only problem I had was at layer change it freezes for a second. happens on different copies on multiple players. Well I'm assuming its layer change. Its almost right in the middle of the film and I haven't had time to slap it in the DVD drive on my PC yet to check for certain if its dual layer.
