  1. I don't like high places, but I am moving into a new apartment on the 9th floor. Anyway, the window in the masterbedroom, is right where our head will be when we sleep. This window comes up about 80cm off the ground...I am WORRIED as **** that someday the window is gonna be open and I am gonna fall out (Wacky...I know.) Just wondering if anyone knows how to safe-proof a window!? Right now all I know is that it ain't gonna be opened until I get some security measures in place.

Some cultures believe it is bad luck to sleep with your head near the window.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  3. That didn't help!

You could always put wood or iron lattice over the window opening. Decorative and protective, all in one.

No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

I used to worry about that when I got ready to mount my inflatable clown, but I just run it with 2 psi air pressure and now it's safe ...I won't go flying out the window.

I never could find a good dressing for that ...

    They had inflatables too.
OK ....now that I've gotten my smart-ass comments out of the way, I would try to find a good sturdy screen to put there. It'll give you more peace of mind that something's between you and a 9 storey drop

about 5 years ago, it was in our local newsapaper that a guy who lived not far from our area who was a drug addict, fell out the top floor of a big tower block. aparently he moved the bed right next to the window, and the bed was level with the window, was out of his head one day, had the windows wide open. the windows on this block are the type where the whole window opens outwards. well he was high and fell asleep, rolled over and literally rolled out of the top floor window and crashed to the ground and died. question is did he wake up in mid air thinking wtf? or was he too high to know what was happening? scary or what?
