  1. I encoded a VCD, and there is sound when I play it in my DVD player, but no video. It playes fine on my computer. What is going on?

  2. How did you encode your VCD ? is it XVCD maybe ?
    PC can play just about any MPG based file, DVD is more strict, if there is any variation on your VCD that can be the reason it would not play.

  3. i already had a mpg file, and nero and another vcd program passed it as being OK. obviously it is not. can it be something with the bitrate of the video?

  4. Where did you get that MPG file ? was it downloaded ? did you re-encode it to be VCD compatible ?

  5. You should also be careful about cutting the MPEG. If you don't cut it using the Video CD Compliant setting (I use TMPG to cut) you will have a video with all the right settings to be VCD compliant...but isn't compliant!

  6. I think your VCD is not compliant VCD2.0
    Use TMPEGEncoder to encode MPG file and burn with
    Nero.
    Use Video-CD template in TmpegEncoder
