I have a TEAC DV-W58E DVD+RW burner which came with my Dell computer. Can I hack it so that I can Burn -R discs? Currently it only supports +R discs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Shawn

Thanks for the info. I tried to return it for credit from Dell because it's nearly 2 months since I bought the computer from Dell they said that they can only exchange it. I asked them what other brands they have and they said they have NEC 8X DVD +RW buner only(which have the same spec. of this). It does not support -R. Any idea on what the NEC burner model is? If I get it can it be hacked?
