A question about CCE

Ive never used CCE method for dvd9 to dvd5, i usually just use shrink and IC8. I would like to however learn how use this for large backups, e.g. LOTR or Matrix as its meant to be the best method. i have looked at the doom 9 guide, but it doesnt say anything about keeping menus?? can you keep menus when using CCE?

Also any other guides? and am i correct in saying dvd2svcd is the best software for this

DVD2DVD-R i guess, unless you want to make SVCD instead of DVD, and im sure you dont want that. Keeping menus and stuff sound like an authoring issiue, has nothing to do with CCE, as CCE will only do the video encoding part, the rest is up to other tools/apps, and i guess DVD2DVD-R is good enough for that. Havent tried it myself, i barely tested it, never made a backup using it.
