Is the same my Pinacle DV Card than my MOtheboard DV card???

Hi to all I want to know if I get the same same same quiality capturing form my Studio DV 8 Card and my MSI Motherboard Firewire port. IS REALLY the same quality? . I know that both are Firewire ports,.but who knows....
There are DV codecs that can capture in better quality?

When transferring from camcorder to PC there is NO codec involved. The camcorder has it's own codec and the DV transfer is just that, a transfer (like a file copy). If you want to use the DV file as input to something else, like TMPGEnc or VirtualDub, then you need a codec.
