  1. I encoded to proper specs, the video and audio streams were perfect, authored in Sizzle, the resulting DVD played perfect in DVD Player, but when I burned it to DVD, the top and bottom of the screen show bursts of green and purple? And when I pop the disc back into my Mac, it plays perfectly there too? Just not on my regular DVD player?
Anyone seen or heard of anything like that? Any fixes?

typically you get wierd playback in settops when
    1. settop doesnt play that media type (rw for example)
    2. settop is incompatibel with that media brand [BeAll brand dont play in my settop... in fact i cant even burn to them!]

I noticed this when trying to play a PAL SVCD/DVD (25fps) in a NTSC DVD player, worked perfect in VLC/Mplayer/DVD Player on the Mac though.

  4. Hmmm...this WAS a PAL avi file that I converted, but the files I muxed WERE proper NTSC files?....Very strange...but I used Fuji, which I've had pretty good luck with, but I'll buy some more SONY tomorrow, I've had ZERO trouble with them, and it is a SONY box....
