I have a Sharp Actius RD10 laptop. It features a "Bright" button to either brighten up a screen or lower the brightness. It is a one push button, for some reason now when I push down it remains blue and will not go back to the lower lighting level.
I prefer the bright level, but I am afraid it could possibly burn out the screen or something. Also, when I take it out on the road or something, it will take a lot more battery power than could be conserved with a lower brightness level.
Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

Check the video settings in the control panel. Then check to make sure the power scheme is set to "Portble-Laptop" not anything else.
